I’ve had great success with their customer service, too. I got the wrong thing recently (the label on it was right, but the item inside was wrong—so just a little understandable warehouse error) and they OVERNIGHTED me the replacement. It was a clearance Christmas item, so they could have sent it slow-boat and that would have been fine, but the fact that they voluntarily overnighted it made me feel like they were bending over backwards. /AmazonPlug

I love Amazon too and covet the Kindle, but know that I would promptly go broke ordering every book EVER PRINTED. I’m just going to live vicariously through you and your Kindle and your awesome customer service.

You should submit this to consumerist.com. Having stuff up on that site makes companies really really happy when it’s above and beyond stuff, or really really upset and willing to help you when they suck.

Heh, no I got another Kindle 1. I was thrilled, actually. I don’t like the 2 nearly as much.

I love Amazon too. But wait, I have a question? Did you have a Kindle 1? And did they give you a Kindle 2? Because if that’s the case I might need to find a way to break my Kindle 1.
