Quick Stones Update
March 15th, 2009
Turns out the kidney stones were not, in fact, kidney stones at all. I had evidence of a ruptured ovarian cyst on my left ovary and a big mamajama of a cyst on the right side. So, if the pain happens again, I’ll know that bad boy ruptured and I won’t get suckered in to believing my husband about the kidney stones.

Oh, well, I guess that’s better than kidney stones, right? But still. GAH. Yuck. I hope you aren’t experiencing that kind of pain anytime again soon!
I get cysts All. The. Time. Like, every time I ovulate, basically. Sucks a lot, and it is remarkably painful! Sorry you have now experienced that special pleasure too!
Yeesh, sounds awful. And that’s something you’re supposed to LET happen? The rupturing and all?
Bub – The cysts are “supposed” to just get reabsorbed into the body. However, they don’t always get the memo and sometimes they burst. I have PCOS, so it’s normal for me to be cysty and I’ve only had 3 or 4 burst in my entire life.
Sarah – I had one that I got from Clomid and I had it for my ENTIRE pregnancy. Maddie just to kick/punch it and I’d double over in tremendous pain. My OB actually had to drain it during my c-section.
Good grief, woman. I leave town for a week and you fall apart on me??! Can I not trust you alone anymore? In all seriousness, I’m glad you didn’t have kidney stones and that your girly bits are all cysty. Doesn’t make me love you any less.
I hope all else starts looking up soon.
Oh, that sounds AWFUL. Yikes.
Wow, I hope the pain passes quickly still.
jeez. i hope the pain doesn’t last long.
ACCCCCKKKKK ouch.
Well, i am glad that they aren’t kidney stones, but pain sucks just the same.
How goes the car repair?
I’m glad it’s not kidney stones! I hope the cysts are treatable and the pain goes away.
