She may come up with something that will totally work, but you may have never thought of. Especially since she seems to have a specific style that she specialises in (the mehndi and the more whimsical/floral/natural aspects), you should let her create something for you as you generally seek out specific tattoo artists for their specific style. Most of this should be able to be done via email and the design would generally be finalised long before you travel to Chicago so you have some time to tweak anything that isn't to your liking. Flickr is a good resource. I'd also highly recommend the galleries on www.bmezine.com. You have to pay to view the galleries after a certain number of pages, but if you're clever with your search terms you'd likely be able to find more than enough. If you're also looking for additional ideas/inspiration, have a look at some of the portfolios of the following artists because they may also push you further in your ideas: Guy Atchinson, Anil Gupta, and Daniel DiMattia.
