Pay it Foward Contest
Are you as excited about our Group Effort Pay it Forward contest as I am? Probably not, as I am disproportionately excited about it. It’s just what my summer doldrums have been begging for.
In case you’re not exactly sure what a Pay it Forward contest is, I’ll offer a brief explanation. You enter the contest and if you win, you will get a package from me. Sounds like a regular ol’ contest, doesn’t it? BUT IT’S NOT! If you win, you then have to have a contest on your blog and send a package to the winner. See? You win something and then you Pay it Forward by awarding a prize to someone else who, in turn, has to have a contest on their blog. And it keeps going until we’ve decided enough already! Nifty, huh?
I’ve opted to shop for the winner after they’re chosen, instead of offering a one-size-fits-all kind of a prize. I’d like to personalize it just for YOU when you win : )
Official Contest Rules:
The contest is open until Friday, July 4th at noon edst. I’ll be out of town, but will pick the winner when I get back home on Saturday. Then, we’ll chat via email and you’ll give me your vital stats. Then, I get to go to Target and buy cute things for you!
Your entry will be your comment answering this question: What’s the one indulgence you try to treat yourself to on a regular basis?

Alcohol.
Good coffee creamer, every morning.
I get a pedicure once a month. It costs about $20 (with tip) but I just love having that 45 minutes to myself!
Getting sushi with a girlfriend once a month
Starbucks. Definitely Starbucks.
Yeah, you’re doing a contest too.
Chocolate!
Going for a girl’s night out with friends once every other month!
heh, i like becky’s answer, although i guess it’s not really “indulging” myself with a “treat” if i have it.. uh.. all the time?
we’ll go with starbucks instead
Hi, I lurk here a lot but don’t think I’ve ever commented.
In the summer, it is pedicures for sure. My all the time guilty pleasure is coffee on my way in to work, instead of making it at home.
YAY! This is fun. Hmmm. Indulgence on a regular basis? Coffee from a real coffeehouse. Yeah.
Coffee…everyday. My husband HATES coffee. The smell, the taste, everything.
I had better win one of these damned contests, I’ll tell you that much.
Coffee. And Wine.
Clearance baked goods from the grocery store. Mmmmm, thrifty.
unfortunately I indulge in chocolate a little too often!
ICE CREAM and a girlie movie all in one night!
Love this! I love going out with my best friend at least once a week. Lunch, shopping, even window shopping, it’s the one thing that keeps me SANE in this very INSANE world.
That, and reading blogs, like yours!
HUGS!
grace
Oh this is hard…. I have a few indulgences, I have to say. Let’s go with chocolate.
Ice cream, usually. Although sometimes when I go to the Baskin/Dunkin I end up with donuts instead.
Recently, I’ve been indulging in orange sherbet with chocolate chips. WAY better than it sounds.
Mmm…I play with a brass band once a week guilt free. Hubby gets dinner detail AND bedtime. I love it.
Books
I get a manicure/pedicure. I try to go with friends but even if its on my own I find it relaxing and it helps me feel more put together.
movies
I don’t know if I have enough readers for a contest, but it sounds like fun! I would have to say ice cream from Braums.
I buy earrings at Target about once a month. Usually silver ones. I need to branch out. Also, unsweet iced tea from anywhere almost daily.
I try to get a massage once a month. It was originally necessary because of back issues, but now I believe it helps my back and my sanity. I would be hard pressed to give it up.
Naps. Which I am sure I will not be able to indulge in nearly as often when the baby arrives. . . or books. I love to buy books.
Manicures. Although my nails are looking horrible right now!
definately dark chocolate! or massages too!! I really like them both.
Icecream
yummy yummy icecream
Books and reading. And magazines, although, I’m trying to curb that habit- too much clutter!
Reading. I love to hide in the other room and read a book. And blogging.
ooo
oooo
oooooo
i’m in.
and indulgence……………………………………………..
i’m going with thought number 2
i sleep with 4 or 5 pillows….depending on how many have fallen on the floor.
and yeah
they fall on the floor because….
i sleep with 4 or 5 pillows……………
Pepsi. Caffeine-free. I love that stuff.
Ice cream. Which is why my waist-to-hip ratio is all out of wack.
Hmm….starbucks. Or pastries. Or pasties, because that’s what I almost typed the first time. Pretty big difference between pastRies and pastIES. ouch!
Chinese food from my favorite place. I swear if it weren’t so expensive and fattening, I would have it for every meal!
Really good coffee. Seaport Dark Roast.
a bowl of Bryers cookies and cream ice cream every night after the boys go to bed.
New shoes. I don’t do it that often, but when I do, I go a little crazy. And yes, I am also so excited about all these contests.
I would have to say going out to eat. I love me a good restaurant meal, where I don’t have to do any cooking or cleaning!
I would have to say Sushi. I can’t do it on a regular basis (hi, checking account, we’re still friends right?) but I have to have it at least once a week.
I would love to say that my favorite indulgence are spa services, but since having kids, I’ve scaled very far back and would be happy with a tall cup of cappuccino in the morning. I’m simple. Really.
Getting my hair cut and colored. It’s expensive but it always feels so good.
Since I was pregnant this last time, and since she was born 5 weeks ago, definitely chocolate in some form. It’s very necessary.
Ice Cream and Weekend Naps.
Sleep, which shouldn’t be an indulgence, except that it is.
I’ve given up all indulgences, but the last to go was pedicures.
I love getting pedicures. Definitely my favorite way to indulge myself!
diet coke. oh yeah baby.
One indulgence? I like to mix it up. Sometimes it’s Starbucks, sometimes it’s that new CD I’ve been dying to hear.
Other times, it’s NOT doing chores all weekend.
microbrewery beer mmm…
I have curly, mousey brown hair, so I try to get my hair cut and dyed every 6-8 weeks. Oh, and who can resist the Siren song that is Starbucks?
Starbucks.
And chocolate.
And a new purse.
I attempt to treat myself to pedicures. It doesn’t always work out that way, but I try!
highlights
Chocolate and ice cream (sometimes chocolate ice cream).
So You Think You Can Dance…best show ever!
3 qt of Evian water p/day
Gosh.. expensive alcohol?!
Hmmmm . . . pedicures and getting my hair highlighted.
Thanks for the contest!
chocolate. probably why I’m not loosing weight. SIGH.
Ice Cream.
pedicures and small pieces of dark chocolate :O)
Dinner at a good restaurant.
Eating out – but not often enough lately
Iced coffee – also not often enough lately
Now I’m depressed.
Cookies.
ooooh, my indulgence is tall no-whip mochas from Starbucks! Weekends only
Ice cream run with the fam……
time to read and of course a good cup of joe
Reading

oops i forgot to put in my pampering thing! i take naps!
I do like my morning cappuccino. I have a Tassimo machine at home that makes it in less than 2 minutes with minimal clean up. It’s awesome.
Definitely sushi.
My once a month girl’s night out. I can eat whatever, do whatever is on the agenda, and stay out til hours I would normally never attempt.
