Me too. I always have to turn a light on before entering a room or hallway. I even have night lights in the kitchen and bathroom in case I have to get up at night.
Me too. I will not walk through a dark room and I see or at least feel something in the room at times that frighten me. I was so afraid of thunder storms that I would sleep beside my mothers bed on the floor even at 17 and 18. I did finally get over that one.
I alway have some kind of night lite…..for safety of course.
Shelly - Not when Gerald’s home. Most of the time, I feel safe with him next to me. However, there are some nights that I get so scared I have to wake him up.
My kids got me over it because I didn’t want to turn the lights on to wake them up when I’d check on them a thousand times a night, but yeah, I used to be.
Do you sleep with a light on?

I leave lights on when my husband is out of town. Not because I’m afraid of the dark, though. It’s the boogeyman that HIDES in the dark.
