Um, thanks

Dear The Children’s Place,

While I deeply appreciate you remembering my birthday, I’m unsure how your gift of 20% my next purchase will benefit me. Are you implying that the perfect way to celebrate my upcoming birthday is to buy tiny clothes for myself? Funny, but I didn’t add “size 18 month jeans” to my birthday gift idea list this year.

I guess it’s the thought that counts, huh?

Love,
Erica

(Hey, if you want the coupon, email me. I’ll totally give it to you. Cuz I’m cool like that. It’s erica @ andnoplacetogo dot com)

  1. If it’s a store that you frequent, don’t question the 20% off, just go for it!

  2. How funny is it that a lot of people would totally spend birthday money on teeny little clothes?

I think I’ve gotten enough tcp to last me till next spring! I’m good!

  3. It is a tad strange. Although last year I spent a bulk of my Christmas money on new spring/summer clothes for Zachariah. Guess they’re hoping it will give us just one more reason to buy something from them with the extra discount.

  4. What? It’s your BIRTHDAY? WHEN?

  5. I love birthday coupons, though, but I agree that this one would be a tad more appropriate for the kid’s birthday than for yours. Still, a discount is a discount!
