is it tacky to open an anonymous blog just to gripe about people in your life whom might stumble across your “normal” blog? You know, hypothetically speaking, of course.
I just recently learned that they’re called “Pink Apartments.” But I didn’t learn WHY they’re called that. So I guess enough people do it that they have a name, though I totally do not GET the name. Someone explain it to me, please.
Some of us have anon blogs for this very reason. I’ve often thought I should just open one for all my “real” family and friends, but that is just tooooo much work for me.
Knowing me, I’d accidentally post stuff on the wrong blog and get myself in serious trouble.
But, in answer to your question…too fun! I love reading grippy blogs and frankly, you would probably make it very humorous.
I don’t think that’s bad. Will you send me the link? Ha! And if you ever need to borrow someone’s blog for a day, you may use mine. I’d be happy to have you over to play.
If by TACKY, you mean AWESOME, then YES. Unless the person you want to bitch about is ME. Then, that sucks. Plus Type (little) a already called dibs on ihatetessie.com.
No, it is awesome. Everyone with an anonymous blog is awesome. And I’d be so curious to know where JMC heard that they’re called pink apartments, because I am so very interested in the idea of that as a term that may have actually spread.
Swistle - I read on someone’s blog somewhere (I don’t remember whose) a while back that they were thinking they should move into a pink apartment, and the more I read, it became clear that they were talking about starting an anonymous blog. Also, they seem to have all adopted the name “Constance.” And their URLs are… hey, wait a minute. You KNOW all this. Sometimes it takes me a while…
Just be aware that if ONE person from your non-anonymous life knows about the “anonymous” blog, it won’t be anon anymore. Even if they never say a word, you’ll never really feel comfortable dishing the unvarnished dirt.
But since I’m totally anon to you and you to me, I expect a link! ahahaha
Grace, I did open a friends/family blog and yeah, I live in terror lest I confuse my two blogger identities one day AND yeah, like you said, I don’t have time for two; I barely have time for one and keeping up with my blogging buds.
(And if someone wants to drop me an email, I’d love to know about this blogger with the pink-apartment anon blog! I love that stuff! :))
Yes. I’ve been thinking about it as well. Often what I REALLY want to write about is…. possibly offensive to at least one of my regular readers (ie. close friends and family).
No!

JMC - They’re called Pink Apartments because one of our favorite bloggers started an anonymous blog and the template is pink. It caught on quickly.
No, it’s not tacky at all. I wish I had the energy to keep up with a second blog because I’d love to have my own pink apartment.

DO IT! YAY anon blogs!
I’m with Tessie. Just do it. AIr your grievances. And let us all in on it.
Of course not, just send me the link

Oh for crap’s sake. I meant to say “NO it’s not tacky”. SHEESH.
