Drumroll Please….
Interwebs, meet Sadie:
I took her to the vet today and found out some interesting things. First, he thinks she’s closer to nine years old than seven, judging by the wear on her teeth. Secondly, she has a pretty pronounced limp in her back right leg and he said it looks like it was broken and not set so it healed funny. (You can see that her back leg is crooked in the above pic.) The vet thinks it looks like an old injury, so there’s nothing we can do about it. She’ll probably get some arthritis in that leg as she gets older, but we can treat it pretty easily.
She tested negative for worms, both heart and poop. She got all her shots and never once fussed. She was calm and mellow and the whole staff gave her scratches and fell in love with her.
I guess we’re going to keep her. *sigh* Just call me Crazy Dog Lady.

I really liked the name Sadie after I read all your comments from the last post. It suits her. Welcome Home, Sadie.

Ahhh you chose Sadie! Hooray! She’s a lucky pup to have you. Congrats.
What a lucky girl she is to have a great name and a great home. I hope you guys have many years of happiness ahead.
Nice name!
She’s darling, and she looks just like a Sadie.
Aww. She’s NINE! Sadie is a perfect name for a Senior Citizen. She looks so sweet.
Ahhh she is very cute! I did not weigh in but I agree on Sadie. It TOTALLY fits her
We have two crazy terrier mix dogs (one was a pound rescue dog and the other was from a farmer) and I would totally get one or two more if I did not have kiddos! I am a total dog freak. Heck I would have 2-3 cats as well but my husband says that is a terrible idea with the terriers - WHATEVER!
Erica, as a lifetime dog owner who has done his share of rescues, I thank you.
Few would take on a nine year old with a limp, good for you.
I know that Sadie will be happy with you
Warm hugs,
Paul.
Yay for Sadie! As I commented before, our Sweet Dog’s name is actually Sadie. It seems to fit the sweet gals!
