Yet another post about my hair

Hey, what do you think about this cut? The after one, of course. I think that’s what I’m going to ask my stylist to do for me. I’m pretty sure it will work, as it has lots of layers and so do I.

Lemme know what you think, kthxbai!

P.S. I colored my hair this weekend and it turned a bright, GLOWING red.  Thank jeebus it’s temporary! Even so, I’m going to buy either some color remover or a new, non-glowing color today. Say a prayer to Ken Paves that I don’t screw it up even worse.

  1. Ooh, I like that haircut. I think it would work well for you. I’ve been thinking abuot cutting mine shorter (I do the long straight ponytail thing now), but I don’t know where to look for ideas. And I have to find time to get out by myself to actually get my hair done. I can’t wait to see photos of yours if/when you get this done.

  2. Love the hair and it looks fairly easy and low maintenance, so another bonus. Do we get to see the glowing red? :)

  3. The ends look like they’d be wispy and staticky.

Must see photo of bright glowing red. Paul would LOVE for me to do my hair like that, but so far I have been too chicken of getting bright red stains all over the bathroom and all our towels.

  4. I like the pictured cut but what would happen to your glorious bangs??

Yes, please, pictures of glowing red! FUN!

  5. Hmm. Actually? Blah. I prefer something with more body, but that’s just me. Not like I actually GO THROUGH with the body thing - no, my hair lays limply at my sides. But I still like the IDEA of more body.

  6. No, there will not be a picture of the glowing red hair. I washed it this morning with Pantene Clarifying shampoo and the glow is gone. It’s actually a very pretty dark auburn now. Next time. I’ll be sure and take the humiliating photo BEFORE I fix whatever horrible mistake I’ve made.

Penny - I agree with you on the lack of body. I, too, love the IDEA of body. The actual work it takes to achieve said body? Meh. Not so much. So, I want a hair style that works with what I’ve got instead of having to make the style work. Does that make sense?

Jenna - “Glorious bangs” make me snort iced tea out of my nose. I have never really thought of my bangs as “glorious.” More like “pain in my ass.” I have some noticeable scars on my forehead and in my hairline and if I don’t have bangs, then I obsess about the scars. However, the bangs are full of opposing cowlicks that drive me mad. Hence, the heaviness of the bangs. More weight = less noticeable cowlicks.

Swistle - Gerald prefers my hair red, too. I colored it this shade for him, as a matter of fact. No stains in my bathroom, or on “good towels.” Since I color my hair frequently, (I use semi-permanent that washes out in six weeks.) I have a special “hair dye towel” that I use for application.

  7. This cut looks like something I would do since my hair has repeatedly rejected “body” of any type. YOU FIRST, though, OBV.

  8. Oooh, I like it! And it will look even better with your pretty red hair.
