I hated Napoleon Dynomite, so I was prejudiced against John Heder from the beginning. But he totally won my heart in Blades. And Will Ferrell makes me laugh in every movie I see him in. The Twilight Series is actually for young adults, but I bought them anyway. I read all three books in two days. I could not put them down. I'm sure I neglected my child in favor of reading them on more than one occasion. *ahem* Happy New Year to you, too! Amber – I was pleasantly surprised with Blades of Glory, too. I got it in October and I can't tell you how much I love it. When my husband and I were talking about a new car, he suggested a minivan and I almost had a coronary. I'm waaaay too cool for a minivan! I'm not a SOCCER MOM! But, once I had time to get used to the idea, it wasn't nearly as repulsive. And then I test drove it and fell in love. The hotel TV had "Blades of Glory" available to buy so we thought, what the hell, it's a suitable cheesy flick for our tired minds/bodies. To our surprise and delight, it was VERY funny and we roared with laughter. Dan was even more surprised than I was, since that is NOT a movie he would have ever picked to watch on his own.
