My daughter, the senior in high school, just stopped sucking her thumb this summer when she had her tonsils out. We tried EVERYTHING! NOTHING worked. (except surgery, which would really be extreme in this case) Anyway, as for the boo boo, not much you can do. When it starts hurting her too much, she will probably back away from sucking it for awhile, giving it time to heal. When my daughter had this problem, she just found a new way to suck it. As for the template....LOVE IT! Oh and the pics of you and yours, PRICELESS! Simply adorable. So, stop being hard on yourself! You have a great family and you are a great mom.
