Soy un perdedor
WW is a great program. I’ve said that before, right? In the past, I’ve lost weight by following it. However, this time around, it wasn’t happening. I followed the plan religiously and the weight barely came off. It was discouraging to say the least. Then one day, Gerald sent me a link to this site. It changed everything. I entered my stats and saw how many calories I burned each day and how many I was eating to maintain the weight that I am. I was stunned. Seeing the numbers in black and white really made something click for me. So, I made a change.
For the last two weeks, I’ve been eating as though I was a 135 lb woman. That is to say, I’ve been taking in 1800 calories a day. I keep track of them on a dry erase board on the fridge or in a little notepad that I carry in my purse. On Thanksgiving, I gave myself the green light to have anything I wanted. I had several pieces of pie, even. And you know what? I lost four pounds that week. I was thrilled! I can’t wait to see how much I’ve lost this week.
I’m still going to WW and weighing-in and attending meetings. I need that support and accountability. But, I’m not following their plan anymore. I’ve finally found something that works for me. Who knew it was as simple as “eat less than you need.”

You have to write more about what goes on at those crazy meetings. I have always wondered.
hey way to go on 4 lbs lost! woo!
Wow…4 lbs the week of Thanksgiving? That is AWESOME! I’m so glad you figured out something that works for you. Me…I lack motivation to TRY to lose weight. I need to do it despearately. But I am very proud of you. Keep it up!
Congrats! I’m glad you found the “magic key” to losing weight!
It’s different for everyone, so congrats on finding what works for you. The one thing I have found is exercise.
Good job! It’s all about what works for you. Go ahead, girl!
Thanks for the link to the calorie counting website. There is alot more information in the site, like how to read the nutrition labels on food, which I need to learn. Great job on losing the 4 pounds during a holiday!! Keep it up girl!! Tina
I am definitely going to check out that site–thanks for the tip!
I second the thanks for the calorie counting website. I didn’t realize how much I am eating either! Congrats on 4 pounds lost :o)
