Blather

The best thing about coming home after a trip is that first night back in your own bed. It almost makes up for having to unpack and do laundry, doesn’t it?

Mom is doing well. She’s going to be scheduling an appointment with a specialist this week, so hopefully we’ll have more information soon.

Our Thanksgiving was very nice. The food was wonderful and the company was even better. Maddie was the star of the show and ate up the attention like it was crack cocaine. She’s a little put-out with me for taking her away from her adoring fans. She’s in her room practicing signing autographs right now.

Did you shop on Friday? I didn’t. You couldn’t pay me enough to shop on Black Friday. In a store, I mean. I spent $250 on Amazon that day. Half our Christmas shopping done in a couple of clicks. God bless the internets and Al Gore.

  1. I shop online almost exclusively now. And I didn’t shop on Black Friday even before I had kids. *shudder*

  2. Erica, I agree, god bless the internet, but Al Gore??????
    Warm hugs,
    Paul.

  3. Paul,

Back when Gore was Clinton’s VP he made a comment alluding to the fact that he invented the Internet. A comment that he’ll surely never live down (and I’m sure offended many of the truly brilliant folks that did actually invent the numerous technologies involved).

  4. Oh I agree I love my bed after a trip away and just coming home to “our stuff”.

And I too am an avid internet shopper this time of year. If I go to an actual store it is not because I plan to buy anything but mostly so I can get in the spirit so speak!
