A little less Bleh

This morning, we took a field trip to Target to procure an additional crib sheet. This now brings the count to three. One on the crib, one on standby and one in the wash…. at least, that’s how it works in my head. Knowing fate as intimately as I do, I’m sure it won’t work out in practice.

While we were at Target, I picked up some soft blocks for the kid. This alone makes me a contender for parent-of-the-year. She luuuurrrves them and has played with them for 30 minutes straight. (30 minutes to a seven month old = 12 days to the rest of us.)

    Oh my goodness, when did she get to be such a GROWN-UP GIRL?? Look at her just SITTING there like it’s NOTHING!

    Seriously, it’s creepy, right? Today, I put her in the babyjail pack ‘n’ play, and went to blow dry my hair. When I came back, she was STILL SITTING UP, just playing away. I feel like if I blink my eyes, she’ll be 14.

    What a cutie first of all. I can’t belive how fast she’s growing up. But I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised, since when I blink my son does 10 new things or grows 2 inches. Crazy.

    I was truly unprepared for how fast they grow and how sad I am. I miss her tiny, snuggly little babyness. Now, it’s all playing, all the time. There are lots of kisses, but very few snuggles anymore.
