“Maddie sure is drooling a lot all of the sudden.”
“She’s not only been drooling, but she’s been trying to gnaw off her own hands. She’s also been Fussy McFusserton, she doesn’t want to eat and she hasn’t taken a nap all friggin’ day. If I didn’t know better, I’d think she was teething. Do you know where I might be able to rent a wood chipper? You know, for chipping wood? Not for putting my child in. Honest.”
“Well, could she be teething?”
“No! She’s way too young for that.”
A few minutes and some Googling later…
“No, she’s not too young. It says here that it can start this young.”
“Son of a bitch! I thought we had months before this happened! Well, I’d better give her some Tylenol. Do you think Ace Hardware rents wood chippers?”
