We Did It!

Maddie and I survived our first day together. Aside from a little fussiness on her part, we had a great day. I even managed to get everything done that I needed to do. I’m not expecting this to happen every day, but it was a good start.

I’ve learned that I need a sling, though. Maddie likes to be held a lot when she’s awake, so a sling would keep her close and allow me to still get my work done around the house. I’m a genius I tells ya. A genius.

And did you happen to see the picture in the previous post? She couldn’t be any cuter if she tried. I’ve had those bunny slippers since I was three months pregnant. I used to take them out of the drawer every few days and imagine the tiny little feet that would one day fill them. It seemed almost surreal to see her wearing them. The dream ended abruptly about 10 minutes after the photo was taken. She spit up twice all over that cute little Old Navy outfit.

On a completely unrelated note, did you know that one of the most vile smells on the planet is curdled milk vomit? Just sayin’.

  1. Erica, you are getting there, very cute picture.
How to get your own back on a fifteen year old Maddie, just show her that picture. *G*
    Warm hugs,
    Paul.

  2. You two are doing so great. She is too too cute. And she is growing into her chins so nicely! Remember weight gain is a sign of a healthy baby! I have a few pics of my infant with that same expression!

Thank you so much for sharing with us Erica. You have brought back some wonderful memories for me!

    Huggs
